- Full-time Academic Specialist in General Gyn/Ob
Description
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a full time Academic Specialist in general Gyn/Ob to join the faculty at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Our hospital is one of two tertiary teaching hospitals in the Johns Hopkins Health System. The Medical Center is located on a 130-acre campus on the eastern edge of Baltimore City and serves a diverse patient population.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and thriving clinical program in the context of an academic environment. Our faculty members are dedicated to patient care, biomedical research, and medical education. Clinical duties include the full spectrum of general gyn/ob practice, gynecologic surgery, and inpatient and ambulatory care of gyn/ob patients. Our physicians cover a busy labor and delivery unit which also provides care for maternal transports from across the state of Maryland. Duties include participation in the educational programs of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, supporting the education of residents and medical students. Our department offers mentorship and career development programs for early career faculty,including opportunities to apply for research career development through the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health (BIRCWH) program.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- The successful applicant will be an Academic Specialist in Gyn/Ob with strong clinical skills and a commitment to clinical care, teaching, and research.
- Applicants must be board certified (or board eligible with Active Candidate status) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- This is a tenure-track position. Academic rank will be commensurate with the qualifications and achievements of the individual.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
