- OB/GYN Fellowship
Description
We are now recruiting for a new, two-year rural OB/GYN Fellowship designed to equip obstetrician-gynecologists with the advanced skills, knowledge, and support needed to thrive in rural, critical access hospital settings. This innovative fellowship addresses the urgent need to improve maternal health outcomes in underserved regions and reduce the growing impact of maternity care deserts.
Fellows will thrive in full-scope rural obstetrics and gynecology practice with supportive senior clinical partners and surgical mentors. They will also receive individualized mentorship and training, drawing from the unparalleled resources of the broader UNC infrastructure. Options include training in quality improvement/assurance, leadership development, healthcare finance, health equity, research in rural health outcomes, and community engagement. The program integrates clinical excellence with structured and intensive investment in the fellow’s professional development so that graduates are prepared to become changemakers in rural healthcare delivery.
