Description

The Montana Sexual & Reproductive Health Collective (MTSRHC) is a statewide group of organizations and individuals who mobilize to support inclusive, equitable grassroots advocacy, education, and outreach to uphold the fundamental human right to bodily autonomy. We organize in solidarity to build the foundation for a sustainable, liberatory movement that secures and strengthens the right to access the continuum of sexual
and reproductive health services for all those seeking care in Montana.

The MTSHRC is calling for proposals to develop strategies and to implement activities for the Collective throughout 2024.

Key Activities for 2024
MTSRHC is working to increase participation in the Collective with the goal of educating and mobilizing more Montanans who protect, expand, and celebrate sexual & reproductive health & rights.

This year, we’re focusing on the following activities:
Increasing the capacity of community members to participate in the MTSRHC
Implementing a Listening & Learning Tour in communities across Montana
Educating the public on the importance of a fair and impartial state supreme court

Building Capacity for our Movement
MTSRHC seeks to hire several contractors with different skills, backgrounds, perspectives, and approaches. We are committed to building capacity among early
career professionals as well as diversifying who is compensated for conducting this kind of work.

For more information about the Collective, please visit our website: www.mtsrhc.org/ Scopes of Work

We are now accepting proposals for three distinct areas of contracted program support as outlined below. MTSRHC will engage these services from mid-May to December 2024 with the potential to carry the contract services into 2025. MTSRHC has budgeted $70,000 to support these efforts. We anticipate that these scopes of work will require approximately 10 hours per week for about 7.5 months.

Operations:
Develop new & hone existing policies & procedures for MTSRHC operations in collaboration with MTSHRC fiscal sponsor and Steering Committee
Work closely with the Steering Committee to implement governance processes and procedures
Manage communication amongst membership of MTSRHC by managing the email account, internal member listserv, and meeting logistics, including calendar
invites, zoom links, and timely distribution of agenda & notes
Facilitate regular meetings of MTSRHC members, including working with the Steering Committee to develop an agenda, facilitate consensus decision-making
process, and creating space for relationship and community building

Communications:
Develop & implement a communications strategy to raise awareness about access to abortion and gender affirming care that includes paid & earned media
Manage the MTSRHC website, public listserv & social media accounts, including development of original content and distribution of relevant news, external
resources, and allied organization’s job openings and other relevant content
Monitor & report on the success of communications strategy throughout implementation & identify opportunities to pivot, expand, or change the tactics as
appropriate

State Court Strategy: Communications & Public Education
Develop & implement a communications & outreach campaign to increase public awareness about the importance of a fair and impartial judicial system, with a focus on the MT Supreme Court. The communications campaign will include paid, earned, and social media. The educational component will include
developing materials to inform the public on the role of the state court.
Monitor & report on the success of the overall strategy throughout implementation & identify opportunities to change tactics as appropriate.
Conduct post-election debrief meetings to educate the public on the implications of the election and how it may impact the 2025 Legislative session as well as the potential impacts to sexual and reproductive rights and access to care
